SEI was this week independently audited by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) as part of the accreditation process for the Microgeneration Installers Certification Scheme.
This invovled both administrative and site-based inspections. The auditor inspected our Quality Management System (derived from our parent company's ISO:9000-certified system) for both suitable quality management and suitable engineering and design procedures. A recent installation was also checked for quality of workmanship. The accreditation scheme is based on the new MIS industry standards, designed to add assurance to new clients and improve engineering standards across the board.
We are pleased to note that the auditor commented on the high quality of our procedures and the small number of minor nonconformances ("teething issues") that were found. We hope to receive our certification by the end of the year.
