Wind tubines are a modern equivalent of the traditional windmill, harvesting the energy of the wind. Where once used to grind corn, the kinetic energy of the wind is now used to drive a turbine and generate electrical power. A wind turbine installation consists of the tubine and vanes themselves, mounted upon a tall mast, connected to electromechanical equipment that ensures that the electricity generated is suitable for use. Any energy not used on site can be sold back to the grid.
The siting of the mast and design of the electrical equipment is crucial to the safe, efficient working of a wind turbine. Sustainable Energy Installations has several years' experience in wind turbine installations, and our design service reflects this. We will not recommend the installation of a wind turbine until a site survey has been carried out. This allows our team assess the suitability of a site and evaluate whether it is likely to generate sufficient energy. The same experience ensures that all our installations are of the highest quality and compliant with the latest standards.
